The success story of EMCO Maier + Co, a factory for specialized machines, began in 1947 with the production of conventional lathes. Again and again, EMCO impressed the market with unusual and innovative solutions. The machines became more complex, demand grew, and EMCO expanded.
Today, EMCO is a corporate group with production sites in Austria, Germany, Italy, and the Czech Republic, as well as its own sales offices in Germany, the United States, and Asia. More than 900 highly qualified employees worldwide work for the continued success of the EMCO Group. With more than 160 sales and service branches, EMCO is represented internationally in all major markets.
From June 2, 1986 to July 15, 1987 I worked in the department for numerically controlled machine tools. In the area of „Flexible Manufacturing Systems for Technical Training,“ my main tasks included:
- Technical documentation, including circuit diagrams and manuals
- Software testing
- Commissioning, training, and service
I left EMCO at my own request to begin my business administration studies in Innsbruck.
